Redesigning Tradition: Modernizing the Classic Bride & Groom Table

In this workshop, students will learn to create two distinct Bride & Groom table setups: "Classic Elegance" with romantic florals and refined details, and "Modern Chic" with bold, minimalist designs. The class covers floral selection, color palettes, and styling techniques for each theme, with a focus on creating cohesive, standout table arrangements. A Q&A and hands-on adjustments will help refine students’ designs.

STRUCTURAL MECHANICS
  • How to conceptualize and execute Classic Elegance and Modern Chic table setups
  • Understanding client preferences and creating cohesive designs with the overall wedding theme
  • Choosing florals and greenery for both romantic (roses, peonies, hydrangeas) and modern (orchids, pampas grass, anthuriums) aesthetics

MODERN DESIGN TECHNIQUES
  • Arranging candles for ambient lighting (tapers, floating, votives, or minimalist setups)
  • Balancing negative space and refining designs for a polished, cohesive look
  • Tips for final touches like modern seating or creative floral arrangements

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

TABLE STYLING
  • Selecting and pairing table linens (ivory lace vs. velvet or textured neutrals)
  • Creating lush centerpieces or sculptural floral designs for each style
  • Choosing elegant (gold-rimmed) or modern (matte or acrylic) tableware
  • Incorporating statement pieces like unique chairs, backdrops, and geometric plates
  • Adjusting designs based on feedback and personal creativity during a practical Q&A session
